Noted for writing such pop classics as "Days Of Wine And Roses" and "Moon River," he also co-founded Capitol Records, a launching pad for such acts as Keith Urban, Merle Haggard and Garth Brooks. Tom T. Hall will have a country hit with Mercer's song "P.S. I Love You"
