Nov 10, 1908Record producer Paul Cohen is born in Chicago, Illinois. In 1934, he joins Decca Records, where the label signs such acts as Ernest Tubb, Webb Pierce and Patsy Cline, earning him a 1976 entry into the Country Music Hall of FameApr 1, 1970Paul Cohen dies in Bryan, Texas. An executive with Decca Records, he was the first producer to record major performers in Nashville, at the Tulane Hotel.
